KNUBA International Scientific and Technical Forum within the framework of The BRIDGE project
On October 21, 2026, the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture hosted the international scientific and technical forum “Architecture, Construction, Design: Technologies, Management, Resources.” The event focused on the outcomes of the European project “The BRIDGE,” which aims to advance BIM technologies within Ukraine’s construction sector.
Forum participants presented the work carried out by the consortium’s member universities, which focused on strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions and the construction industry, enhancing digital competencies, and training professionals to meet the sector’s contemporary needs.
The event showcased initiatives such as the launch and updating of educational programs based on BIM technologies, the development of teaching materials and micro-courses, the signing of cooperation memoranda with stakeholders, and the hosting of webinars featuring developers of BIM software.
Special attention was given to the international experience gained by faculty members during internships at universities in Poland, Slovakia, Italy, and Germany. The knowledge acquired has contributed to refining educational programs, implementing modern teaching methodologies, and fostering international partnerships.
For the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (USUST)—specifically the Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA) Institute—the “The BRIDGE” project represents a significant milestone in the development of the educational and professional program “BIM Technologies in Construction and Civil Engineering.” As part of the project, the training curriculum for students in the G19 specialty is being enhanced, with expanded opportunities for practical training and the use of modern equipment and software. This fosters the development of competencies in information modeling, digital documentation, and the application of innovative technologies within the construction sector.
The forum served as a platform for consortium members to exchange experiences, showcase achievements, and identify future prospects for collaboration among universities, employers, and developers of digital technologies.
The BRIDGE initiative brings together education, research, and business to train professionals capable of utilizing modern digital tools for the reconstruction, modernization, and digital transformation of Ukraine’s construction industry.
